Ok its been about 12 hours since i glued this concoction together so i put it in the tank a few minutes ago and WHAT A SUCCESS! And check it out, no leaks on the first try (not like me either LOL)!!!!!! im so happy! it works more than great and the flow in the display tank is phenomenal now! Im glad i did this, now the tank is being turned over a lot faster, im very happy about that as well. Now there are no worries. That was the one issue that i couldnt get my mind off of, but now its cured and now i can relax. Ahh, feels good.

Dude--I told you I would follow!!!--Nice work. I see you use CPR filter bag bracket. I use the dual. I love it. I also see you used a filter bag on the skimmer--great bubble killer. Your set-up is very similar to mine.

Look familiar??? I have enjoyed great success with this set up. I am sure you will too. I change the bags out on Wed and Sat. Just rinse them and throw in washer with bleach only. Then let them air dry. Mine have lasted a year with no visible wear!!! Keep it up!!

Here is a full full tank shot and a full tank shot. I really like it. Everythings coming together really nicely. I have yet to get a black background. I think that will really "put a polish" on the tank

Well your thread has been up for a week and I finally stumbled across it and all I can say is great job!!! Your before shots look at lot like my last tank with all that GHA. Hopefully haveing your own RO/DI will help make a difference this time around. I got mine from BRS also. I'm really impressed with the job so far. It looks like you've got a better handle on things than a lot of folks twice your age. I can't imagine trying to get a build done and having to rely on somebody else for a ride to the hardware store :p.

K+ and keep up the good work. Your example may just shame me into posting a video of my tank (although I am still hoping that Matt will put a chiller up as a video contest prize).

Hey if I impress and make an impression on gts, im more than satisfied ;D Thanks so much for the kind words, it really keeps me motivated. I appreciate it.

Ya so far other than the floods in my basement and the "o crap i was making water" moments, its an awesome rodi. Mine came with 5 extra sediment filters, too so good deal. And please, do post a video of your tank and equipment! thatd be awesome
