I'm about to start my 220 gallon build. It will have either a 90 gallon or 75 gallon sump with a skimmer and a fuge and possibly bio pellets. This will be a fowlr with 4 fish only Porcupine puffer, stars and stripes puffer, picasso trigger and niger trigger. I'm looking for opinions on protein skimmers for this set up. The one I seem to keep going back to look at is the vertex in280 seems reasonably priced. If anyone can give me their opinions on what I should go with id greatly appreciate it along with reasons why you chose that skimmer?

    Thanks

I have the same setup as you and am running a super reef octopus xp-3000. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Same! I'm running the SRO-3000int... I'm pretty sure it's basically the same skimmer. I love it. Great price and has been very reliable!
