Boy civic that Acropora and Montipora is stunning. I know it has always been my favorite piece in your tank, but it's looking unbelievable. So glad you were able to bring it all back and then some.
I am pretty sure you have exactly what I have on my 55g. They may dim over time because it is not nearly as bright looking in my tank. On another note, I think they are 1watt so I don't think 6 total watts of actinic are going to upset photosynthesis in the coral. I am guessing the moon itself lights up more than this at quarter moon.
It is a beautiful thing. It's even more stunning to see it in person. I really appreciate your comment by the way.
I figure I will have it for another year. Within that time span I will work on finding it a new home. I would love to contact the greater cleveland aquarium to take it off my hands when the time comes.
I think the camera adds 10 lbs. He/she certainly does not look like it's missed many meals. Is there a chance that a LFS with a large display can help you out when the time comes? You've obviously provided a great home.
Quick update: I have had some issues with tank parameters. Ive lost a few sps colonies and throughout my coral dont look like they should. Once again alk being the main cause. I have stepped my water changes up to everyother day. Things are turnning around. It didnt help I was out of the country for a week, but my roommate did a great job looking after while I was gone. BTW, Turkey was an amazing experience for me.
