    No, day bulbs are great for growth. True actinics (Actinic 03) do nearly nothing for growth. The other actinics (usually called actinic blue) will do some for certain corals in terms of photosynthesis.

    So in summery actinic lights can benefit certain corals but day bulbs over 10k will reduce the need to run actinic lights?

    Just a reminder this tank isn't real deep only 18" I believe
