I wish there was some way to view the pictures larger than when I pull them up. Am I missing some way to enlarge them in photobucket?

small set back this week, had an out break of bubble algae
had to take of the rock out and bleach it, not letting it sit for a few weeks before it goes back in. I'm sure the out break was caused by a few things the main being old lights, which I now just ordered new ones.
It's a shame be cause I had some really nice green coraline algae growing on the rocks- will it come back alive it when goes back in the tank after being dried out?
Fish are all doing great as I now have,
Male blue throat trigger- getting a wife soon
Pair of black ice snowflake clowns
    Flame angel
    Exquisite wrasse
    Diamond goby
    Blue hippo tang

Did you take out all the rock? Just curious, because you'll potentially have taken out a large portion of the biological filter....maybe do some additionally testing so that you watch out for any spikes.

FYI for future outbreaks....you'll likely have more than one as the tank matures, most will just cycle through if you're filtration is proper, so no need to rinse the rock every time, that will actually defeat the purpose of the rock's filtration capability. Also, emerald crabs can be excellent cleaners of bubble algae. Plus they're really cool looking too ;D

    Cheers

no didn't take it all out as it just seemed to be on my tonga branches. I did buy two emerald crabs but they didn't seem to climb to the top of the rocks where the algae was growing.

hate that bubble algae.. Red bubble has been my nemesis in my 30gal 130d, think you got it all until it pops back up a couple months later in places you can't reach. Soon to be completely torn down once the 135 is cycled and I can move the fish.

Good luck and sure you will keep your eye on it.
