so i found a JBJ 24gal nano cube for $50 bucks. The tank has no lid and no lighting, and im not sure if it comes with the pump. I already have a tank but was thinking of picking this up just because it seemed like a really good deal! I have been thinking of ideas for it, like maybe using it for a refugium. Also was thinking of doing a seahorse/ pipefish tank w/ just macroalgae? Or even a quarantine tank?
Anyone have any ideas of what i could use this tank for besides starting another reef tank?

It would make a fuge, but the problem would be a return chamber. You would of course want to use the front display chamber for the fuge, so you would have to use one of the rear chambers as the return. Evaporation would accumulate way too fast in such a small space leaving your pump to run dry. If possible, perhaps you could mount it above your main tank and drill it to gravity feed back into the tank.

Otherwise, I really like the sea horse idea.

i have that same tank...you could just get the LED upgrade kit for the lid. Or they make a metal halide version as well. The halide runs about 200 plus though so I could only imagine the price for the LEDs.

i was thinking maybe just a freshwater planted tank would be sick too++. That would prolly be alot cheaper to setup? I also like them!
