Ok guys so I have had my 75G tank up and running with about 65lbs of rock and 2 clownfish, 2 emerald crabs and some mushroom coral. It's been about 25 days now. I have checked my levels every day since, nothing has changed. Only thing that did was Ph went down a bit and I raised accordingly. i even went to the extent and put in 3 shrimp for the last week to try to raise ammonia just to get a mini cycle!

Now I have noticed lots of things growing on my live rock, white mushroom looking things and a bunch of brown tube looking things. Is it safe to say my tank is in ok form to put anything else in? I'm trying to get a tang to help with some of the algae that is still growing a little on some rock.

    Any input?

Were the clowns already in the tank when you first started?, if so the cycle must be done because fish poop and that's create ammonia.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you have fish in the tank and it has been set up for that long it is "cycled" as long as you have 0 for ammonia and nitrites.

    Any current parameters?

The algae issue you are having is related to the age of the tank and or water source and will resolve on it's own as long as your water source is good. Buying a yellow tang to treat routine algae problems in a new tank is not a good idea in my opinion. You may very well end up with Marine Ich.

If it were my tank, depending on what the parameters are, I would probably do a small water change, and let the tank mature for a couple more weeks before adding any new live stock, especially a tang.

For future reference you do not need to or should you cycle with live fish. Rushing things in this hobby rarely ends well.

    Good luck
