Ok guys, so dispite Shins best efforts I am going FOWLR in this tank and here is what my very early on stocking list looks like (I am wanting a lot of input on compatibility etc). I would mention I will be running a UV sterilizer with an oversized skimmer (thinking one rated for a 400-500 gallon tank). here goes!

    Bannana Wrasse male
    Harlequin tusk
    Miniatus Grouper
    Queen Angelfish
    Spanish Hogfish
    Pakistani Butterflyfish

    Then possibly some combination of the following;

    Picasso trigger
    Goldrim Tang
    Mimic chocolate brown tang
    Chiseltooth wrasse

what do you all think? too much? bad combos? I want to hear it and thanks in advance

p.s. I am updating this top thread as we go

Ok ok, its time to get real.....

    You HAVE to have:

    Tuskfish

    Quoyi Parrotfish

    Crosshatch Trigger Pair

Big Angel (look into blueline I like them more)

    Grouper

    Then fish that are ok:

    Hogfish

Pakastani but get a couple more

You're going to have to decide if you want that lion or not before adding anything. Lions just can't defend themselves because they are so slow - and a lot of fish like to nip them. Some fish might get along if added after him, but you'd have a very high chance of disaster by adding him last.

That also seems high to me considering how big most of those get. I feel that they'd end up bumping into each other a lot trying to swim, which might lead to aggression (or possibly stress then disease). I also wouldn't want that bioload without a large sump, was that in your plans?

Thanks for the replies. The tank is 72x24x32 and the sump is 75 gallons

    I meant pinkface wrasse

I am willing to drop the lion

I found a pair of tusks, thought that would be cool and still cheaper then Alex's cross hatch super rare pair

I have never even considered a hogfish before but they seem compatible and a bit different.

Any other thoughts on a "different" fish to add?

I'd consider a puffer. They are full of personality, but are also a much larger bioload than other fish their length.
