Isnt it a bit high off the ground? looks like you will have to stand up to see the tank instead of setting and enjoying it

You bring up a good point about it being a little too high to sit and enjoy it, but due to the location of the tank I think it will be enjoyed more by people who are standing and moving around it. We have this tank set up in a formal living room area which is the first room as you walk in our front door. Without this tank being set up in there, you really don't have any reason to stop and hang out in this room. I wanted to put it eye level so that it would catch people's eyes as they walk in the front door and move towards our den (which is where we spend most of our time when we're downstairs.

I told my husband I started this thread and he's been responding to you guys.lol What he forgot to mention is we're both tall. I'm just shy of 6ft and am tired of always bending over to check out my tanks. So we made it a bit taller than usual.lol :)

Haha. I am doing a full house remodel for a friend, and his new house has a formal living room. He thought the same thing, no reason to go into this room...until I reminded him that the dimensions of the room are perfect for a pool table! The things we will do to fill up a room.

Tank is great...I am looking into getting a 240 (72 x 30 x 24)...love the look of wider tanks, so much going on in the foreground and background...slimmer tanks don't have that "extra dimension" without a very open scape. Look forward to seeing this unfold.

Got the pump and protein skimmer today! The protein skimmer is an asm g3. I listed the type of pump on the first page. We also got all of our plumbing equipment as well. My husband is currently putting everything together! I'll post more pics later. Until then here is our pump and skimmer.;D

Cool tank. I really like the dimensions. Can we get a picture of you infront of it so we can see the real size of it?

Here is my husband Joey and our dog Charles doing the plumbing. Btw, the tank isn't really green in the background. It turned that color from the flash.lol

Here are some pics of the sump set up we're working on. By tomorrow we're hoping to add water! I'll post more pics when we're done.
