Just moved the tank yesterday, took over 4 hours and I only live a few blocks from my old place. Anyway, went barebottom and redid the scape. let me know what you think.

My tank got super cloudy for about a week after the move but has now cleared up. So I arranged the Corals to my liking and have noticed that my sps seem to be bleaching from the move most likely (mini cycle). I will do what I can to revive them but if they die im not out too much. only 4 frags or so. Everything else is doing awesome, the clam has never looked this big and open.

Got a new skimmer today to replace my vertex. I originally planned to do a 130 gallon tank so i picked up this skimmer, but im not going to be upgrading as soon as I thought so Im running it in my 27, its really overkill but thats okay in my book. Its a Warner Marine MF161 or a skimz sm161. they are basically the same skimmer but the warner version has a different bubble plate from my understanding. Warner Marine says its rated for about 160 gallons while skimz says its rated for up to 300 gallon. LOL anyway, heres a pic of it standing next to my vertex.

Yeah, skimmer ratings are kinda vague because its very dependent upon the system they are in. Large tank/light bioload=small tank/large bioload kinda theory. Nice score there. And yeah, definitely overkill. If you need something smaller I've got an extra CPR bakpak. lol
