27 Pounds Live Rock in 38g Nuvo Good??

    (Bold question is one I need answered currently.)

    I'll start just adding questions to this post so if you guys don't mind helping me, please please check this post often! :)

    Is the 27 pounds live rock in my 38g Nuvo good? I added 5 more today and it looks good, I feel like I have good coral room and it looks full. Is it good??

    Added a picture with first set of rock and one with second set :)

    You are probably a little light on live rock if you are depending on it to provide the natural filtration you need. You usually see 1 to 2 lbs per gallon of system wate ras a recommendation so you have enough surface area for colonizing bacteria to do their thing. You will probably need to have other methods of filtration or media to keep up with a medium to high bioload.

    I want to see how it goes before I do that. I really feel like it's enough, plus I know lots of people that have done this in their Nuvo and it turned out real good. Not members here from what I've seen in a Nuvo, but a neighbor has a 30 with 20 pounds and a 38 with 25 and both worked out.
