28 gallon nano stocking

Hello, My wifes 28gallon jbj nano cf quad came in the mail yesterday. Its going to be a reef tank. Can people start throwing out some options for fish stocking?

Also what is my best option for a skimmer for the tank?

As for fish, it depends on what what you want and then researching to see if its possible. Do you want easy to care for, rare, etc. As for the skimmer, I have a Remora HOB but another popular option is the Tunze 9002.

 

My wife really wants a valentini puffer. I know that will limit my inverts but im gonna try it. I was thinking of getting a couple of the clown morphs. Like snowflake or picasso. She also wants a mandarin goby.

The remora fits on the back where the filtration is?

 

Today i get to put together the stand. It looks like there are a million pieces.

 

Virtually all puffers are aggressive; were you to put one with a mandarin, which is very passive and already difficult to take care of because of its feeding habits, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't survive.

 

I wouldn't get a Mandarin. It would be extremely expensive and it wouldn't live that long in a tank that size

 

ok mandarin is out. I was actually in the pet store the other day and this guy was talking about how hard of a time he was having getting his to eat. She likes the bottom "hopper" type fish. What blennie or goby do u guys recommend?
