I want to upgrade my two submersible pumps (Acella Pump SP1-1000 @ 266 GPM) b/c I have some dead-spots in the back at the bottom of the tank. Anyone receomend a suitable replacement? Thnx Bill

I would look into a powerhead for back there.

Before I bought my MP10 I had two powerheads (one for the back and one for the front).

I agree with Biocube (cool name, by the way!). Putting a powerhead to add flow to the dead spot will be best. You can upgrade the pumps a bit, but if they're not pointing in the correct direction, it won't help much (if at all). I run 2 small power heads (Hydor Korallia Nanos) in my 28g Nano cube along with the stock pumps and have had really good flow in my tank. :)

    Thanks :)

Pretty sure I bought my Power heads at MD for a good price.
