3 or 4 weeks ago I changed my bulbs to the 20k Ushio MH. It is a little more blue than even I would like........but it has been a while since I have done a full tank shot so figured would add some

    thank you!

i have 2 pavona frags, a stylophora and a spongode on magnetic plug. Trying to keep the nitrates down, we keep chaeto in the tank in a little butter dish. Unfortunately we still havent put up our bigger tank yet.......so we ran out of room in this tank so the next option is magnetic plugs. The pavona is starting to grow on the glass!

Everything is growing out very fast. I am having to double dose alk daily to keep it at 9. My calcium is holding steady with the water changes but have to dose mag a lot.

things have browned out quite a bit.........let things go and wasnt keeping up with the water changes and dosing! Starting to come back.

That blue sponge is SO slow growing....had it over a year and maybe doubled its size. These are one of the few sponges that require lighting (why it isnt in our NPS tank) along with phyto

I had a blue sponge many years ago in a large tank it spread throughout the rock work high in the tank.

I worried about it and loved it more than my clams. IME it's a hit and miss, loves light and does not do well in ULNS tanks. The color is worth the effort though.

New bulb will probably help with the color too.

It does looks like the chalices are growing over their plugs.
