I bought my son a 29 gal setup off craigsist. This is the set up. 30-60 HOB filter from wal mart, heater, stock pc light, 40# live sand, 35# of LR. 2 clowns, 2 damsels, 2 bl hermits, 3 small star fish, 2 snails. I am wanting to make it better LOL :). I would like to upgrade to be able to put some soft corals in the tank. I would like to know how others tanks are set up. Lights, filters, inhabitants, Things you would change about your setup. I want to do it right so I dont waste money.

I do have a wet/dry filter and skimmer that will fit in the stand and a OF box already. I can use.

    Thanks.

I have a 29 ,Yamaha,I run an aquaclear 50 hob filter, with phos remover, carbon, and media.I use an oddesea 30"130 watt pc,seaclone 100 skimmer,45 lbs liverock, and 2 powerheads(one has the deflector, which i pointed upwards for suface agitation)It is not a high end setup but a beautiful tank with leathers, zoas, chili coral, palys, gsp, about 30 softies all together, with cuc,and 6 small fish(2 is coming out this weekend)but been running for about nine months now and the only thing i've lost so far is a turbo snail(and i think i'm the one who killed him)and the corals are thriving,I also do frequent water changes with ro/di.And as a matter of fact, there doing so good that i am putting some stuff over in a 15 gallon to make room. Also coralline is starting to take off good now.
