I have a seaclone 100 HOB skimmer. 45lbs live rock, ~20lbs sand. koralia 1 & 3 powerheads provide a lot of current in the tank. My lighting is not the best but it supports the coral I have in there. Planning on upgrading tanks to at least a 75g very soon and with that will come the lighting upgrade.

    Livestock:
Hippo Tang (the size of a quarter guys, she's got plenty of room until the upgrade!!)
    True Percula
    Algae Blenny
    Firefish
    Green Mandarin
Had peppermint and skunk cleaner shrimp but they didn't make it through the move.

CuC consists of various snails and hermit crabs along with an emerald crab...innumerable amounts of pods.

    Coral:
    Red/Green mushrooms
    favia
    mixed zoas
    torch coral
I had pulsing xenia and briareum bu they didn't make it through the move.

The seaclone works great for me but it does require frequent calibration. I don't mind it because if I didn't have to adjust so much I would forget the thing was there!! LOL

Tank looks beautiful.Good luck with it.
I started a 29 gallon about 3 months or so ago, also. Used the excuse that it was for my "son" too! lol.My son is due on december 1st and i'm hoping he likes it. lol
I'm actually loving this tank more then my 210 and my 96 gallon tanks. So much easier to play with and add stuff to.
I've added a nice hammer,Frogspawn, pipe organ, zoo's,anemone,Birdsnest thats growing like mad!Cats paw, plate and some other stuff i forget the names of.
Most of these are frags but they seem to be doing really well.

I do about 10 gallons of water changes a week.

What lighting and filtration are you running on it. I am wanting to do basically the same thing. I just want to do it right.

    Thanks

I've got 96 watts 50/50 flourescents with a Marineland Penguin 200 hang on filter.
Nothing special but it all seems to be working pretty well.

I remembered i also have a beautiful Duncan,a hydnophora which is at the highest point in the tank closest to the light,a suncoral i fragged from my 210,and a Chilli in a cave that was kinda a waste because i never see it as it's just a red blob during the day.
I have a Hydor #1 for flow and an airstone and about 50lbs of LR which also helps with filtration.

I would go with T5 lighting for soft corals. the wet dry filter would also be a good addition for softies.
