Here's a few more new pics. Im battling a case of bryopsis, not sure how I got it, but it relentless...havent found a way to get rid of it yet as you can see on the top shelf rock. The other pic is my Green Birdsnest, I need to frag some off because its too big but oh well haha.

*Can someone tell me what the green growth is under the Birdsnest? It doesnt seem to bother anything so I havent got rid of it yet. Thanks!

The tank is beautiful, you should be very proud.

Beautiful tank. I think you have turf algae not bryopsis. If you can remove the top rock without endangering anything you should be able to scrape it off.

I agree with Cheryl on the algae ID.

Thanks! It does look like turf algae in the picture, and there might be some mixed in, but there's lots of bryopsis in there. Ive been dosing heavy magnesium and trying to get as much out as possible. I just cleaned everything today so most of it is pulled off. Unfortunately the top rock has 2 anemone's (it split) and a couple other things attached so its not really possible to get it out

Great looking tank! I wish mine was doing so well like yours, so I must ask you a couple of questions.

When you bought your LED retrofit, did everything come as a set? I didn't see the heat sink listed as being part of the kit. If it wasn't, how much extra did that cost you?

How often do you clean the chambers? What is your gph and how often do you do water changes now?

Since day 1 I've never had any success with these tanks. My older regular rectangle tank was thriving like no tomorrow. I do miss seeing them grow fast and big.

    Thanks.

Thanks! 1) My retrofit came with everything already, I did the plug n play as it is worth the etra money.

    2) I have never touched chamber 1 because it has lots of live rock rubble and my heater. Chamber 2 contains an InTank media basket and a Tunze protein skimmer. I change the filter media basically every time I do a water change, which is weekly for me(2 1/2-3 gallons). It still has the OEM return pump so what ever that GPH is haha. Honestly my tank runs itself pretty good, I just feed the fish and change the water...everything else is enjoyment.

Its been a while since I have been around but not much has changed in the tank....just lots of growing. Ive been down the last month with a torn ACL and finally had surgery this past Friday. Good news is im back up walking around with 1 crutch so the tanks can get a little more love now. Heres a few updated pictures

I am gonna kidnap those clowns, so nice. ;) The green zoanthids and xenia contrast each other very nicely.

Haha, I appreciate it! The xenia spreads like wildfire and I couldnt keep off the rock but it did end up pretty cool. There are some pretty cool and colorful zoanthids in there but you cant see them cause of the camera angle.
