29 gallon biocube cycling (pics)

    Day 1 of cycling. I fininshed the aquascaping up yesterday. Now its time to sit back and relax.

    I have noticed that a crab (cant find him for a picture) took a ride into the tank along with a few other guys (see pictures). Sorry about some of the picture clarity.

    Right Now I have the stock 29 biocube. 30 pounds of LR. I have the protein skimmer for this model, but will wait for the tank to cycle before adding. To beef up the water flow I added a Koralia 2 directed right into the middle of my cave formation. I also plan on adding a 20" 150w 14,000k HQI SunPod after the cycle.

    I believe that is what it is from my reading. Looks like once it cycles I will add a peppermint shrimp to knock his asz out. ;D

    I would take that aptasia out now. they can grow to plague poportions. inject it or take out rock and scrub it. but take care of it now.

    my wife just now started to come around to the fish tanks and it took her only 1.5 years.

    The rocks are tied together and I dont have a needle. Is there any other way to get rid of him?

    pick up some joes juice I hear that works and come with applicater i think.

    Update:

    I got rid of the aiptasia using joes juice. I also found a small feather duster worm that opens up if the lights are on.

    Levels Prior to Today:

    PH - 8.4
    Salinity - 1.025
    Ammonia - 0ppm
    Nitrite - 0ppm
    Nitrate - 0ppm

    Today everything is the same except nitrates are at 5ppm
