So at last, with a WHOLE LOTTA HELP from a local reefer, I am managing to become one myself. I will be moving from my old 29 gallon tank, into my new 40 breeder. ;D Through this hobby I found a new friend who was anxious to help me out and let me do some shopping from his basement stock pile. lol. So i was able to get a stand, new lighting, a 20 long tank for a sump, overflow box, and a return pump all dirt cheap. of course im sure there will be some fragging once established, to hold up my end;)

included are pics of the old 29 with some frags which are mostly all from the same guy. (excuse my rushed photos) took them before work.

The stand i had to paint black and need to get some kind of door for the sump area. Overflow is a CPR, with aqua lifter pump. Sump is 20 long with chamber for Skimmer, and then a fuge. then a Rio 2100 pump . Did all the plumbing with one trip to the hardware store, I was proud of myself.::)

There is a cheap 6,500k bulb mounted on the inside of the stand for the fuge, with chaeto. I cant wait to have this thing up and running. it will be sitting much lower to the ground than my other tank and will feel like a touch tank. I set the stand out so the setup is more like a peninsula tank.

Congrats on finding a great friend and the expansion. Stand and sump look great. Frags are good looking too.

Thanks everyone. It's difficult to wait for the cycle. Which I decided to start off with a new batch of water. And add the extra rock just to get it all cycled I used some sand in the sump from my previous tank and a sprinkle in the DT, the cheat is in the now soaking up some extra badies. I didn't wait to use old tank water
And cycle just the DT cus I want that fuge capable of handling the bioload once I make the switch.

Ordered a new CUC and and fuge pack from reef cleaners, hopefully it gets here tomorrow. To avoid over weekend transit.

OHHH the light I forgot to mention. A sorta custom fixture. 1 150w 14k MH, with 2 65w CF bulbs. All cut down and re wired from an old 48 inch current fixture. (had some big help on that part lol) semi custom suspension system.

Realized I started a Build and haven't kept up with it. My 40 Breeder is up and running And I now have more frags than I ever expected in such a short amount of time. Having friends in the hobby is amazing. Unfortunately, the battery in my Nikon is dead right now so here are a few pics from the old point and shoot i still have. I'll try for better pics tomorrow.

Im not sure how to comment on individual photos but first is a FTS
Then a side view i believe
then one with the tomato clown
    and last is my sump

The tank kinda separates my bedroom so there are three viewing sides, probably have a video tour soon also.
Advice on frag placement welcome as i still don't have a whole lot of experience with a large variety of items.
