    So for anyone looking to do this DIY you might want to consider using 1 inch pipes, the 3/4 will only support 250 gph from what iv noticed. I will be making a 1 inch system tonight.

    I just read through this entire thread....I have been looking for a solution like this all week!! Slight modification for me though, I am adding a 10g frag tank rather than a sump/fuge. I currently have the 2nd compartment set up as a fuge so that will continue to suffice for now. Found this right in time too because I have tomorrow morning (well this morning I guess) free and was planning on getting my materials. Thanks for the DIY overflow info!

    And I actually got the ASM-G2 to fit in the sump.... Tight squeeze and everything cant really go where I would like it. But it works. Talk about over skimming lol

    When you turn your return pump off does water in chamber 3 in tour BC rise?

    The water falls to the level of the overflow pipe (until its below the overflow)
