I believe this is what I purchased:
4- 1" dia by 2' long pieces of PVC (they are on a small rack at home depot that are pre cut drinking water quality)
    6- 90 degree elbows
    1- T fitting
    1- End cap
All PVC components I used are 1" dia
Also whatever you want to run to your sump (I used vinyl tubing not sure of the diameter)

Cost me about $40 all in all, $20 for the tank and heater and foam $20 at lowes, oh ya and another $20 on sand

The only noise from mine is where water is draining into my fuge. Makes a nice amount of bubbles too but I have it worked out so they all pop before they move to my pump.

Mine is a little different, the intake is 1" and the rest if 3/4" diameter PVC. this way my intake doesn't get clogged and gets more area for water to drain

    Item list:

    10 90degree 3/4" elbows
    one 90 elbow 1"-3/4" splice
    one 5' 1' pvc
    one 10' 3/4" pvc
    pvc cement
    one cap
    one 3/4" t-joint
    one 3/4" elbow insert
one 3/4" screw adapter(allows you to screw something to the end of the pvc)
the finally one 1/2" foot piece (this goes over the screw adapter, its like the top of your water pump where you can easily slide a tube over, this can be rotated or have a tube applied in order for me to control flow inside the fuge)

All together was very easy, took two days total

Just waiting for my water to stop being cloudy from the sand, and i'm adjusting my heater to compensate for the extra volume, (came home and my tank was 84degree :/
