I'm going to need to get a new sump in the next few months, This tank is to tall and I had to take it out to get the PS in, Big PITA!! Dont have the money for one now so I'm just gonna have to wait..

 

Started my cycle today..

I always liked the proportions of a 90. Looks very good so far. is the skimmer pulling anything out of the water?

For the 3days I ran it, it did.. I turned it off till my cycle is over!

I was using seachem for my water tests..I ran out of ammonia tests, so I picked up Salifert for the ammonia tests, still using the seachem for the nitrite and nitrate..

Ammonia-.25
Nitrite-15
Nitrate-20

Looks like my ammonia's are almost gone and the others are spiking!



I got a new sump, ESHOPPS 200..




Ok, I have a question:

I'm having a problem with the over flow in the DT, It is way to loud and doesn't seem to be working right...It wasn't this loud before I changed the sump and the water level was higher in the overflow area before I changed to the new sump....Here's a video of it,

Hopefully someone could help me out with this..

 

In the sump area, I would add a piece of PVC to the end of your flex hose to reach into the water. If the pipe is under water, then it should stop the noise in the sump. I don't know how to fix it in your overflow

 

Oh my! That is really loud. I have heard that they make mufflers for the overflow. I think you might have to special order one though.

 

@link- Ya, I'm going to pick some up tomorrow.. I know it will quit down the sump, But it's the overflow I'm worried about..

@aquariaman- It was working fine before I put the new sump in a few hours ago..Now I cant get the water level high enough in the overflow to cover the holes to make it quit down, Just doesn't make any sense..
