I got 2 Hydor 1050, and my return pump is Eheim 1262..I'm getting pretty good flow but, I most likely going to upgrade one of the Hydor to a vortech mp40w..

Thanks and good luck with your build!

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

    Thanks, I love them!

    It's getting there, Thanks!

Nope it's just a Yellow Coris Wrasse..

    Thanks a lot, JJ!

I'm sorry if I missed this somewhere.... but did you ever figure out if it was your return pump that was too small?

I'm about to set up a sump for my 90, and I want it to be as quiet as possible. The pump you mentioned is like a 900gph though, surely that's enough?

Any resolution as to what is / was causing the noise?

Yeah, The return pump is more then enough.. It had to do with how the water was going in to the sump and the hose and how I had it set up, it has to do with back pressure in it, I still dont really understand it all, but by using the Gurgle Buster,

    Hofer Gurgle Buster Construction

Fixed everything for me..I had to make it bigger then they did in the link above because my standpipe is 1 1/4..But it all worked out for me..

I heard yellow coris wrasses get big...like 5 inches, and they need 50 gallons... Is this true? Thanks for the reply :)

    Looking awesome!

Mind filling me in on what kind of sand you got? That's about the color / texture I'm looking for.
