Over the last month, all 3 of my bta in my 75 have died. I had started with one about 6 months ago, and fed it scallop once a week. Over the last few months it split twice, so I figured it ( now they ) were doing well. I added two koralia 4's a month ago. 2 weeks ago one of the newer bta's went thru a koralia - there wasn't much left on the impeller.... On the same day I noticed that the big original anenome was missing, and I haven't seen it since. Sunday I fed the remaining one, Monday it looked droopy, and today it was dead - dropped off it's rock, just laying on the sandbed - so now it's in the trash :(. The only new thing other than the k4's was a new scallop from the grocery, which I chop up and freeze individual pieces for feeding. No one else in the tank looks ill, and all param's are wnl. I did dose an iodine supplement for the first time 4 wks ago, and have dosed it 2 times since.

Anyone have suggestions what may have killed my anenomes? Thanks!

What kind of lighting do you have?
    What are your water parameters?

From what I read they split when they're not doing well as a way of reproducing to increase the odds of survival.

If one went through your PH it released itself from a rock to find a new home because it wasn't happy. Happy anemones don't move.

Also, because you had it for 6 months doesn't mean it was doing well. It could take 6 months or more to decline in a tank.

Lights are 4x54 watt t5's and 2x150 watt MH. Amm & nitrate are 0, ph 8.3, spg 1.025, ca 425, Mg 1700 (winning a fight with briopsis), alk 10.5.

The original anenome had tripled in size from when I first put him in the tank, and then split once about 4 months in, and again 1 month later.

Well lighting doesn't look like an issue. I'd try laying off the scallops. Wish I could help you more.

do you know your iodine level.

iodine can be poison if you dose too much

Mysis shrimp or raw deli shrimp chopped up to 1/2 the size of the nems mouth. If you feed brine shrimp it should be soaked in a vitamin like zoe or selcon because it has little to no nutritional value. Anemones will eat any meaty food as long as its smaller than its mouth.
