I swear to god I got the most hitched hiked rock ever. I left it in my basement to dry for like 10 days. put it in my tank and in 3 weeks. sponges, wild coral galore and such just keep appearing. Even found a crab. ( he flipped me the bird late at night when I was looking for criminals)

Any ways. the first two pictures I have no idea what they are. I believe some type of soft coral but non that I know of. The first one, just started growing in that spot. If I poke it with a stick, it doesn't really retract but it deflates and lies perfectly flat against the live rock.

The second one I have no clue what it is. It's the bubbly finger like thing in the direct center. Unlike the first one if poked it FULLY retracts into the rock.

And, lastly the last two pictures are of a SPS coral I bought. I Can't ID it by growth patterns. I thought it was a birds nest but I'm not sure. It's only 2-3 weeks old, and the white tips are new growth so I'm happy with it. (person I bought it from didn't even give it time to start growing on the plug......) Any ways I'm hoping I could get a direct ID for it. one picture is Under day setting and the second picture is under night antic setting.

    Thanks for the help.

1 Tunicate colony, 2 Corallimorph, and I'll leave 3 and 4 to the SPS folks although its Acro of some sort.

Not sure if I agree with #2 being a Corallimorph. It shouldnt fully retract. Looks more like it could be a majano to me. Especially because it fully retracts.

I do agree that #1 could be tunicates.

Also, I am not even close to being an expert on SPS.

I'm not sure on the first two but I believe 3 and 4 are montipora digitata.

Thanks a bunch Screwtape, I really think that might be it. The growth and polyps look exactly the same to me. I knew it was a digitata but not an acropora , and after not being able to find it I wasn't sure any more.

Thanks whiskeytango and Blumoon reefers. I'll keep the first one, Seems harmless. Number two has got to go, both names you came up with are not very zoanthid friendly and hes in a spot I want overgrown with zoanthids.

    Thanks again.

The white tips could be growth, but they look a little funny to me. It could be bleaching too. With my sps, the growth tips aren't really white, they are definitely lighter in color, but the growth tips are usually a very light version of the color the coral is. Just keep an eye on it.

I think #1 could be blue clove polyps, and 3&4 could be a frag branch of a fuzzy sinularia (maybe:))

The first looks like a cup coral colony, the next are a type of snail, the last two are a deep waterhttp:
