Looking good! Are you using black sand?

Definitely looking good - i really like the narrow flat shelf rocks you have. That is going to look awesome with coral on it. Where did you find the nice flat rocks?

    Nice job!

It would actually be better to add it before your tank finishes cycling. Adding a lot of sand to an established sandbed could potentially smother all of the life in the existing sand.

Anything 4" or over is considered a deep sand bed so unless you want one of those, I'd stick to 3" or less. I personally prefer a 1" sandbed.

    I like a 1" sand bed...but to provid a living place for a dart and jaw fish...we chose 2"s...

So, consider your future selection of fish/stock as you decide on what depth of sand to use...

    Hi Jerry

what are you using in terms of filtration on that set up?
it does look good, but I believe your tank would benefit from an increase in rockwork
    the benefits would be
    1) increased surface area for bacteria to colonise
    2) increased height on structure so that more light requiring corals could be placed higher
    3) increased coral location spots in general

    Just my opinion
