Since you haven't mentioned the lack of some scientific literature, I'm guessing you've seen some?

I had a fish that showed ich and died. I left my tank fishless for 8 weeks and figured it was long enough before putting new fish in. Nope, pulled the platinums from QT and put them into my DT and whammo, they come up with ich and died 2 weeks later.
I'm sure mine was an extreme case, but general rule is 6-8 weeks on the full ich cycle to died off. I've been recommended to give 10 weeks to be on the safe side. I give the same advice now.

I'm also guessing they show hypo as being a effective treatment, and your case is totally weird...?

Ya. Totally. But they don't use S.G or ppt as a measurement... lemme see what they said exactly.

I have NO idea what's going on in my case... I have to be missing something.

They don't use SG or ppt? Maybe the conversion to SG/ppt has been wrong?

I don't know what that translates to.

This research was done by Harry W. D.ickerson (I see we have a cuss filter...lol) from the book Fish Disease and Disorders, Volume 1: Protozoan and Metazoan Infection.

Lemme see what the other books say exactly.

Hrm, I guess that means 1:1 ratio NSW to DW, if I'm reading correctly. That would translate to ~1.012 SG.
