I deal with Aptasia in this way. I squeeze a lemon, take a pipette, and fill it with lemon juice. Then I put the pipette right next to the Aptasia and blast it with a little juice. They explode as the juice hits them. I would keep peppermints, but they seem to disappear in my tank. I blame it on my blood shrimp, but it may well be the skunks.

after reading through some threads I've decided I'll keep blasting them with Kalk paste. I have a ton of it and the whole container cost me 25 cents last year. I've got about 6 more containers LOL If it gets too out of hand, I'll get a few peppermints! Thanks for all your answers! Reducing fish feedings to every three days too...I'll starve em out , plus it won't hurt to put my foxface on a diet!

Berghia nudis really should be left in the ocean, not only is that there only source of food but many people fail because they simply can't produce enough of the pests for the nudis to thrive.

When I tried the kalk paste I killed the one, but about 3 more popped up around it, might be what's happening to you Gras. I think you might have better luck injecting it into their mouth's.

Sorry if I post this and someone replies before I do...

    Yes peppermints are compatable.
Peppermints are hit or miss though.
I've heard alot of success stories.
I have had to do what you did.
It took me about 5-6 times and I got my last little guy about 6 months ago. I havent seen them since.
I tried everything but what REALLY worked was an 18g needle (cuz its thick) and mix 50% calc to 25% lemon juice and 25% water or 1/3s of everything till you can squeeze it out of the needle w/o bending the piston gimmick.
I thought they were anenomes till I seen them burning everything they touched so I tried Peppermints and nothing. I put 30 in my 150... dont ask me what they ate cuz I dont see one till this day.. lol

    Thats what worked for me.

Sorry, Im dealing with a bad cold and not making any sense tonight.

the shrimp did not help at all. (for my tank)

I don't have any preditory fish in there but somehow they all disappeared.

The guy at the LFS told me to use the shimp and it didnt work. Then he told me to use Aptasia control (used 3 bottle$)... didnt work!

My buddy said mix lemon juice with calc and I bent the needle. He came over and said look dummy... and took a spoon that I estimated to being equal parts lemon juice and calc then added no more than 50% water. ANY of those combinations work.
Something about the acid in the lemon juice mixed with the alk of calc made a reaction that melted them.
I stabbed them in the center and watched the m blow up with the white stuff shooting out of the ends of there tenticles like fireworks... BOOM! OK, too much medicine..lol

pretty ingenious, way of doing it. I like to watch mine slowly melt away, screaming, as they do......
