Here are a few pictures of some stuff I have found in my tank that I am not so sure that I want in my tank. Please let me know if you have any ideas. I could not find info. on the web about these.

Yeah, I started off with 1 stomatella varia, and now after 3 months, I have what looks to be 40-50+... probably more but they do tend to be quite camouflaged into the LR some times... If you have some emerald crabs in your tank, they make a tasty snack. If you don't have emerald crabs or some larger crustacians, I suggest investing in some in order to keep this variety of snail's population in check. (they breed like rabbits)

they wont as long as you dont over feed or have large amounts of nuicence algaes

also I never heard of emerald crabs beeing preditory toward any other inverts they are herbivors and just eat the algae

I didn't really like the idea of putting crabs in my tank wasn't sure if they would cause too much of a mess, becaus I have some other varietys of snails in the tank and I didn't want them to get gobbled up either. Maybe now I should? I'll keep an eye on them. BTW doens anyone have what looks to be little bugs and stuff crawling around in the sand? Goo? Bad? What can I do to keep them in check?
