Sorry, but I'd rather put one of my kids through a year of college.

How can you possibly weight education against beautiful fish like those?

I will always put my status symbols before my children even if my rich friends don't even know what the heck they are!

I would much rather buy a new setup than those fish. Imagine what kind of setup you could make for 30k

Pretty much anything you could ever want!

I think the only way they would be worth it would be if they were so unique even a non-aquarist could tell they're unique. Siamese twins or something.

I know for 30K...they better do dishes, cook, mow the lawn, give massages, vaccuum, and be able to keep me posted via twitter what is going on at the house while I'm away..

Well then pull that credit card out because they are Genicanthus which are planktivores, they don't feed on coral polyps. Genicanthus personatus are not expensive because of their beauty they are expensive because they only are found near the Hawaiian Islands at depth of 70 meters or deeper. They are EXTREMELY rare. The only place that has them in captivity is the Waikiki Aquarium, they have a spawning pair. Karen Brittain actualy raised one past metamorphosis but unfortunately it succumbed to the most infamous case of carpet surfing in the aquarium world...
