Ya it affects how much it precipitates. Magnesium makes them not attract in the water column. Is it bad for calcium to rise to fast though?

Thanks, there were some good links in there. I am okay to add as much as I need of the one bottle but I can't use the alkalinity bottle, which makes sense.

 

Update

I hate API lol. It was 80 off for calc. My calcium is at 480 now so I'm doing water changes. Alk is accurate though. I bought 3 nassarius snails and one 6 line wrasse!!!!! He is shy but really pretty. I'll be buying a really nice Birdsnest soon also. I'm hoping that my test wast just faulty and I'm talking to the people who sold it to me. Hopefully I'll get my money back or a new one. I'll be using salifert next time.

 

How'd you test wrong? Pics of the additions!! Sounds great, hopefully the 6line is easy to keep

Already named it Houdini. He weaves in and out of stuff soo easily it's crazy. Kinda hard to get a pic of him.

I didn't measure wrong, it was just that off.. I think it might of just been a dud. I'm hopefully getting a new one from them.
