my concussion was so bad that now they have to homeschool me till after easter break. i made a phytoplankton hatchery by drilling a hole into the middle of a masonry jar. stuck airline tubing down to the bottom through that hole, put airholes around the lid, then put the lid back on. i have a lava lamp light below it and ill fill it with saltwater (has to be really saline and have a high ph i think) and either brine shrimp eggs or phytoplankton. then i put the bubbler on and turn the light on and wait a few days for the brine shrimp to hatch. for the phytoplankton, ill wait until the water is pretty opaque.

I wanna do this! You can make a pod hatchery a similar way.

    Was it a boxing concussion?

alright well my camera is not that good at taking macro photos but i get by. i was thinking of renting a slr camera with a macro lens from a place near me so i can take some nice photos of polyp extension on my acros and some reallly nice pics of my zoas. you think i should or spend the money on something more useful? also, with a sump, how do i get the water level up in my dt? it needs to be up about 1/8", i bumped something behind the tank and it moved. its not bad, just annoying. i really like how the level in the dt always stays the same, it makes it look nice.

I found pods in the refugium!! i thought my scooter ate em all, loooks like I wont need to buy a bottle of them.

Nah i wouldnt now. Maybe in a couple more months when you have more coral..but i'd save the money.

Cool about the pods! Now they can multipy in the fuge right? Will you be taking some out each week for the scooter?
