Why? I don't really need all those features like the storms. I think they would freak the fish out more than make it natural for them. Plus the price of it is a little high for my liking. It's the same three watt bulbs in them.

I guess your right, but with a controller, wouldn't they all be equally controllable? Especially if I got the dimmable version?

    If its compatible.

With the AI you can set ramp periods, sync the lunar cycle with the ACTUALL moon, clouds, thunderstorms, and sunrise/sunset.

Ugh, I guess I got some more research to do.. That does sound nice, and I know that moon cycles do help corals spawn. So what you choice on what I should buy first?

I'd get the bulbs, then an led fixture(I'd go with DIY) and then a wave maker.:) have you ever thought about getting an mp10?

I have, but the price scares me away. Plus Im actually okay with the two I have, they are giving some pretty good results and I'm sure they'll be better when I add a wavemaker. The wavemaker is made for the ph's I have too. DIY led is getting to seem a little to complex for me, I made that thread but havent gotten much response on it. I don't really mind because it's not going to be a right away thing. Maybe I'll just spend the extra money and get a sol or something. I just want good, even light exposure.

I guess lightbulbs will be next! I'm getting 2 blue+, 1 purple special, and 1 aquablue special. Sound good?

Sounds great! If it sounds any better, rapidled makes a plug and play kit. But an AI sol would be awesome:)

I don't think it will do well on a three foot tank.. I'm so confused with LEDs it's not even funny, they are soo different than any other lighting fixture. Someone said that those leds I showed you guys were equal to 400w of metal halide. It's a 120w light though so I'm guessing they're talking par ratings.

Yeah 120w of LEDs would be WAY too much for your tank. 50 would be plenty.
