30 gallon build

Well I'm noticing that doing less with my tank is helping me.. The less I dose and test, the better the tank looks. I haven't tested in like 2 months. Ive been doing more water changes and that's been keeping things healthy. Hey, I'm fine with it, it's cheaper!

 

I hardly ever test. I don't does and do pwc every two weeks. I'm hoping to go a month.

 

I've started to do 2 2 gal pwc a week and I've started to see rapid growth. I'm selling my old light and skimmer to a reef club member and she's trading 200 gal of reef crystals and maybe some coral frags ( rhoodactis mushroom and neon green clove polyps) for it. I'm giving her some chaeto for her tangs too.

 

The tank is doing great, I had some of my family from Philly come over and they loved it.

I am in the process of getting a deal made with a lady for the t5 light and skimmer I have. She's going to trade me 200 gal of reef crystals, a frag or two, and maybe something else depending on where we are at with money. I have a bunch of chaeto so I'm giving her some for her tangs. I'm also giving her the small Xenia in the sump, she has a softie tank. I think I'm getting a mushroom, and also a green slimer which I'm excited for.

Thanks! She supposedly has tangs who loooovee the stuff. She can't keep it in her tank. Its growing pretty fast in my sump and I need to get rid of some. She has a softie tank, so the little frag o Xenia down there will be throwing in also.

 

Well, I had an impulse buy today lol. I know have a small shroom garden. Purple, green, and green ric. 10$ for the frag which came with an extra purple mushroom. It's looking good in LEDs, cant wait to see it grow.

Update

I made a xenia scrubber, I have a thread about it if you want more details. I also moved two of my corals down, both the seriatoporas. They were getting pretty bleached. My red Acro is getting green tips, I'm going to try to I'd it at some point.
