My scooter Blenny died. I didn't see him today and found him getting eaten by snails. After closer inspection, I found he had a collapsed stomach. He must've not been eating his food, i definitely saw him eating prepared, must have been spitting it out behind my back or something. Well, now I only have 2 fish, and the very first death in my tank... Ever. I knew it was a harder fish to take care of but I really thought I had it happy, eating well (I thought), always out, no symptoms of starving. I also have plenty of pods, is it possible that they aren't being carried up because of the sponge on the return pump? If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it :(

Everything else is thriving and healthy, well I think so anyways..

Yeah, I really thought I had been handling him well. Now I have 2 fish in my tank lol.. Ridiculous. I'm going to correct whatever needs fixed and then I might replace with something easier.

I went to my first reef club meeting! I met Anthony Calfo, and some other really cool people. I got 9 polyps of clove polyps, 1 serpent star, gel seaweed food, and a crapload of reef crystals salt. Here's some pics from earlier today, I'll take pics of the rest when things open up.[IMG][IMG] ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337482027.397269.jpg [IMG] ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337482112.973755.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337482154.822356.jpg

my fire shrimp died today. i have a thread on it. i think it was the palytoxins from the zoas. im not sure if its possible but that is the only questionable thing to happen. one of the polyps got smashed on a rock and it must have secreted the toxin. I did a 33.3% water change and everything looks absolutely fine now.

i now have 2 fish and a cuc. its pretty sad, any fish/invert recommendations? ive been looking at liveaquaria but finding fish and inverts is definitely not my strongpoint, i just cant seem to decide on anything because im too worried something will happen to it lol.

    my stock is..
    1 bangaii cardinal
    1 6 line wrasse

i know i might have a problem with adding something while i have the wrasse which is what im most worried about. suggestions would be very nice :)

Just finished sanding the doors to my tank. I used 60 grit then 150 grit. I'll be painting everything black once it's primed. I'm not sure how I'm going to sand down the tank, any suggestions? Im going to be doing a lot of DIY over the summer; led strips, canopy, painting stand, ato, etc..

Just started priming everything, the doors are finished and now they need the black. The stand is about a fifth of the way primed. I'm trying to do small increments so the tank doesn't take in too many fumes.
