It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Big fan of Figi Yellow, requires mod to strong flow and high intensity lighting, stunning yellow.

Other Sacrophytons, aka toad stools, like decent flow. Develop a waxy film that needs flow to disperse off the surface when the coral is ready to open again. It can say closed for a number of days.

    Hardy, easily propagated.

Or are we talking leather shoes??? :)

It's not quite a yellow color, more of a pink or light purple. It's not closed, just a few spots look like some polyps are missing and the skin is peeling. Its already peeled fully, it was closed for about three days. This thing already has a ton of little babies started everywhere.

haha Now only if I could propagate leather shoes! :)

    O and it's only about 10 inches for a par 30 bulb.

Ok I am bad. Went back and read the post regarding the leather question.

If it keeps closing and producing the waxy film, it's trying to clean it's self of detritus and or algae, try increasing the flow.

Also keep an eye out for a small type of nudibranch that will eat holes in them, it's a cream color and looks very much like a leather.

    haha ;D

I really appreciate the help. It doesn't too bad, it's on the very tips. It's actually better this morning.

Ok! I'll get my tiny Nudibranch watchdogs out! 8)

    Update:
Decided No Longnose Hawkfish. Wow, hardest thing I have had to do. haha

I picked up two new corals though, a small frogspawn and a fire and ice zoa.

O the leather is back to normal too. I found out that one of the chromis (Ragged lookin one/ or the wimpest) is taking out his aggression on it. He swims full speed straight into it and bites it, then swims away. No clue why. ha Crazy I tell you. It took me two hours of just sitting there watching. Hey, I couldn't sleep. haha
