So this is yet another leap deeper into reefing territory with a 30 Gallon Cube I have been putting together for the last two months. I have finished the cycle and have moved everything from my 14 BC to the new 30 Gallon with a 10 Gallon EShopps sump. I am using a Mag 9 with an Eshopps 300 overflow. I am running Chemipure and Chemipure Elite.
There are 30lbs of base sand (Oolite Sugar Sand), 25 lbs of Baserock from Reefcleaners.org (Thanks John!) and about 20 lbs of LR from the old 14BC.
I have also added a Koralia Nano 425 for now and will be adding a Koralia Evo 1400 (when it comes in from Bigals . . .).
I will be purchasing a ReefOcto skimmer this week as well with all the BlackFriday sales.

For lights ATM I have two BoostLEDs that are the 3Royal Blue/2 Cool White 60 Degree optics.

I plan on adding one more all Royal Blue BoostLED to really give the tank some extreme pop.

For the moment stock-wise I have:
    1 Royal Gramma
    1 Royal Damsel
    1 Yellow Bellied Damsel

    Corals:

    Mushrooms
    Pulsing Xenia
    Torch Coral
    GSP
    Zoos
    Polyps

    CUC
    Dwarf Ceriths
    Scarlet Hermits
    Fuzzy Chitons
    Limpets
    Astreas

I intend on going in the direction of some SPS with mostly LPS in this tank.

Thanks for checking out the tank!

    So far, so great!!!

I mean everything has only been in the tank for two weeks - but even the zoos at the bottom of the tank (25" from the light fixture) are WIDE open and I swear their color is becoming more rich from when they were under Compact Fluorescent light . . . Also you get the same shimmer as the MH bulbs with none of the heat - my ENTIRE light fixture is light enough to be held with clip-on light holds. Also - because they only draw 10W each - I am not wasting energy on heat and the tank does not get too hot.

    So far, so great!!!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I really like the 30 gal cubes. Very nice looking. The LED really put out some nice light and love the coloration they give.

Go SPS is would look really nice in that set-up.

Another big advantage of the LEDS is that they can be turned on and off if I have to do some moving in the middle of the light cycle I dont have to worry about melting my fingerprints off on some hot glass.

Looks great, I also like the clip on lights. Probably a lil easier on the pocket too.
