Actually the clip-on lights are from the automotive section of Wallyworld.
There were 8 bux apiece and all i did was remove (with no tools or enormous feats of strength) the shroud reflector and I was good to go!!!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
With the current LED's you have now what hard corals could you keep ?

And what would you add to the current set up to keep acropora well.

Well so far I only have one torch coral for Hard corals.

For SPS i think the only thing I need to do is add the protein skimmer that will be in in a week or so and also add just one more all royal blue boostLED. I am also getting 3 more koralia 425's in this week so that being said steady water changes, lots of flow, and dosing of 2 part (using 2 little fishes ATM - likely going to BRS products . . . ) with LED lighting - I am planning on finding out some time in the early part of 2011 whether the tank will support acros, millis, montis, etc.
From what I can see of how it has given new color and size to zoas at the bottom of the tank 2' from the light - I have a pretty good feeling about trying SPS out in this setup.

I would also add that I can easily see most LPS thriving in this setup now with the lower flow (30X) and only the 2 LED Pendants.

    Gorgeous tank dude!!

Are you putting some more hydor nano's or a 1400? A 1400 will turn that tank into a whirlpool!! LOL

3 BoostLED's on a bio-cube? Boy your going all out!!! Haha

Just wondering what your light cycle is too? Thanks

    Hey thanks!!!

Actually I just got 3 more Nano 425's last night for this tank. With the 4 nano 425s, and the mag9 return I am set for flow (about 65X). Getting the ReefOctoNWB110 this coming week and will order the final boost bulb . . .

    then it's time for SPS!!!

Going to try Monti caps and anacroporas first as recommended by several reefers here in a different post.

OH! and my lighting cycle right now is for about 13 hours/day. When the final bulb comes in I will have it come on an hour before/hour after and will probably cut the main lights down to 12 hours with the all Royal Blue coming on early and staying on an hour later.

Alright sounds good. I just wanted to compare what I was doing to someone else running the Boosts. I'm running actinics for 1 1/2 hours before and after my 11 hour mains.

Definitely want to see a shot of the tank under that all blue bulb!!

Also curious if your determining turn over rate based on total system volume or not?

I haven't determined mine yet, but going based on tank size I'm currently at 39x turn-over. I'm sure that number increases a tad if I knew my TSV. I have another Koralia 750 to put in that I'm trying to determine placement of.
