Yeah I am going with about 20 gallons in the main tank (out of 30 gallons) and the sump volume is just under 10 gallons - so about 30 gallons of water is my system volume.

I am going to be moving about 600GPH through the mag9, and then there will be an additional 1700GPH from the 4 Koralia Nano 425s so thats about 2300 GPH which is about 65-75 Turnovers/hour depending on the exact volume (+/- 5 Gallons).

Looks great, I would determine the flow rate through the actual volume in the DT. The water in the DT will determine how the corals react not in the sump. So you will actually be around 115X.

That's an excellent point - one that my girlfriend made last week - and now that I am seeing it in writing - you may both well be right!

I planned on adding only one more PH at a time.

If I make it from one to three and I feel the flow is good - I will stop.

Its always great to have a spare PH and for $15 why not!!!!

Thanks for the advice as I am not that versed with high flow loving SPS corals yet . . . .

You are right spares are good. You will want to consider how your softies and LPS will respond. I have 3970pgh in my DT that holds about 60 gallons so i am at 66X LPS are fine with the flow. My frogspawn isn't open as much as it can though. I have my 2x1050 and a 750 up near the water line and 2x425 in the back pointing at each other from each end to keep flow to the back of the rocks. I could probably add a couple of 240's If I have spots I want to add more flow. I have sugar sized aragonite sand BTW. Can't go much higher without sand storms.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The Cube looks great! Lighting looks pretty intense. I know really nothing about LED's, I am always curious how they look and what corals they will support. I have seen great tanks with LED's and love the coloration.

I will be in the same boat with the sugar sized sand.

I will certainly only be adding one at a time. The plan is if the LPS/Softies start to take a hit and I cannot rearrange/relocate I will transfer them to a quiet spot in my 120DT.

    Update:

I have added a total of four (4) Koralia Nano 425's to the 30 gallon cube.

No sandstorm, no corals mad, so far so good!!!

The torch coral especially has shown more extension than previously seen. It LOVES to be blown around in all different directions.

I also noticed that the fish are a bit more active.

I am now running about 2200 GPH in this tank and with a 30 gal cube I estimate the tank volume to be something like 22 gallons so there ya go - about 100X!!!!!!!!

I was very pleasantly surprised that I was able to add all of these as they create wonderfully chaotic flow in the little space they are working.

As soon as the skimmer I am waiting on and the last boostLED come in . . . it will be time for a Monti Cap. sp or a Anacrapora!!!

Either way I am SUPER excited!!!!

The sand is also super clean and is just to the point of being a tornado on the bottom - but not blowing any sand around or clouding the water.

I also love that these powerheads only draw a few watts apiece so I am not worried about them.

Just thought I would share as I too was not fully convinced that all 4 ph's would be feasible - but they are~!!!!

Congrats, my torch is the same way in my tank. My frogspawn isn't so happy.

Which is quite interesting considering they are somewhat closely related . . . .

I have found the same of the spawns in both my 120 DT and the 430 DT at my office - in both cases the spawns do not take well to excess flow - not nearly as much so as the torches.
