    Whats an afordable skimmer for a nano system? I need it to be a hang-on and must be quite. I would spend around $100 or so.

    I have an Aquatic life mini 115 skimmer in my tank. its a decent skimmer. I want to upgrade and get the new hydor slim skim nano. its rated up to 30 gallons. I hear nothing but good things about it.     I just checked and that model sells on amazon for <$60 plus shipping ($66.70 if you buy the new one from Amazon as opposed to a private seller). I love Amazon ;D

    i know hydor just came out with a HOB skimmer. not sure the price but i heard it was really good.

    Bakpak maybe? That's what I had on my 36 seahorse tank. Worked pretty well.

    All of these skimmers you guys have mentioned are internal skimmers. I dont have a sump... is this really the way to go apposed to a hang-on?
