Installed filter box, hung lights, and resealed leaky MAG 5 pump. The O-ring wasn't formed properly and was twisted. Too lazy to send the pump back. If the silicone won't work ill order a pan world and use the MAG 5 elsewhere.

Cool build. What are you planning for bio filtration?

More progress today. Bulkreefsupply order finally came in today. Shipment was delayed due to "extreme weather". Right....

Installed RO/DI system under sink. Looks good. Definitely very pleased. looks a lot better then the last one I had (Kentmarine).

The ceramic plate fits into its chamber nicely.

Still waiting for my water storage tank and some ATO components. Then I will install the Reefkeeper Lite.

For now im using the MarinePure Ceramic Biomedia Plate. 8X8X4

Im not sure how well this product will do. I will cycle the tank first with either food or ammonia with a piece of LR to seed + bio spira. Once it is established.. i might tamper with the water parameters with pure ammonia to see how fast it can process. If the plate isn't enough... Ill add the ceramic balls into main portion of the tank. It will be very easy to clean around.

This is also an experiment in the process.

I believe the new term on 3reef is "watching"? Hopefully I clicked the right link. You are building a set up a lot like one I am planning on here in the near future. I will be watching closely to the progress so keep us updated! Great build so far and when I say build I mean build. You even built the tank!

Also curious to how well the ceramic block will work. That would be heck of a lot cheaper for a frag tank then live rock that won't even be seen. Keep it up I'm excited for you.
