    Hi Everyone,

I'm FINALLY getting close to having water in my tank. I'v added the sand and the 'dead' rock to it. Here are the pics......

One think that I come to realize is that it doesn't seem like there is a lot of room for fish to swim around and since this is a FOWLR I'm kind of worried that there is too much LR. Let me know what you all think. Should I remove some or leave as is or do you not like the aquascape. I've glued the top rocks together but I can still get them apart if I tried.

Oh, there's about 375# of LR in there now.

    Thanks for the advise!

I think it looks great. How much room between the rocks and the front glass?

That rock looks real porous so you have a large surface area for nitrification. I think you could easily remove 100# without compromising anything. What other filtration do you have.

    Looks good.

This is going to look awesome. Personally while I do like the scape, I don't think it looks natural.

Since you are glueing them... I would do some sweet towers and arches.

On the other hand... I see no problem with a wall structure. Many fish live on walls in the wild. You also have what looks like a ton of space for fish to swim in and out of the structure.

I agree id remove about 100 pounds and maybe do a two island look? This give plenty of swimming room.

The rock is anywhere from 3 to 8 inches away.....on avg about 5 to 6 inches.

Yeah, I know about the "not looking natural" but I'm not sure how to make it look natural...lol.

Any ideas? I do kinda like the scape also, so I might just leave it. I think there are plenty of places for the fish to swin through and hide.....agree?

    I have a sump with, I know...not everyone's fav....bio-balls, mesh filters, and a protein skimmer.

As long as you keep on top of the bio-balls they are fine!

I would say leave it if you are only getting smaller sized fish. If you want a tang, lion, or anything that needs more room I'd take some out. But imo what's the point of a large tank if you can't get some of the bigger fish that people like me can't have?
