    haha ;D

definitely a very AWESOME scape. I personally like the two island look, or the wall with the down hill look. ( it does wonders with coral.)

    iLL,
If I remove the bio-balls and replace with LR, will that still work eventhough the rock won't be underwater.....it will just be trickling down on it and then into the sump?

    Thanks......

If you have a trickle filter i dont think the shelf will hold the weight of the rock. The purpose of the trickle filter is to create an ideal habitat for bacteria to thrive which is moist with plenty of oxygen (wet but in contact with air). Personally I would take the balls out, take the shelf out and just have the rock sitting in the sump. Submersed anaerobic biological filtration still has plenty of oxygen in the salt water especially since we run skimmers. You will be providing more surface area with porous rock then with plastic bio balls, and you dont have to worry about rinsing the balls off to keep nitrates down.

yup, just stuff that sump with as much live rock as you can fit and all will be good.

What kind of fish were you planning on keeping? That may affect the desired aquascaping.

MAN!!!! Scaping is a pain in the A$$!!!!!

Well, I took the suggestion of leaving more room for swimming since, I plan on having some big tangs, angles and butterflies.

Here's what I have so far please give me you honest opinions.....this is my first time at doing this so I need the help.

    Thanks!!!!

I like it! Lots of swimming room & a pleasing rock scape. Do you have caves in there big enough for tangs to hide?

with 300 or 400lbs of rock and if you seed it with some LR from a LFS then I even question rock in the sump.....I have never tried it and my water stays in balance....but thats just me..
