    I started up the main pump today and had a problem. The pump was returning water to the tank faster than the tank brought it back to the sump. I have 1" tank to sump lines and 3/4" sump to tank lines.

    What's the best way to fix this?

    throttle back the 3/4" returns with PVC ball valves.

    How many 1"returns? Maybe bush them up to 1-1/2"

    Better yet, use reducing couplings.
