frame work for the stand is done, still have to wrap in plywood and treat the lumber, stand is 39 H x 63 W x 51 D

That looks beefy. It should hold just fine. Nice work so far.

Beefy to say the least. You know though, if you put the lumber on end (vertical), it can support more weight than it can when it is laid flat. You don't ever see a house built with the floor joists laid flat like diving boards do you? If you had built the stand correctly, it would be stronger, and you would have used less lumber.

one vertical 2x4 can hold upto 3000 lbs before breaking, there are 30 vertical posts, the other horizontal posts are there to prohibit a side to side motion. its framed out just like a wall in a house would be and not like a floor. id rather have it beefy than find out a problem later on.

I've read that a vertical 2x4 can hold 10K pounds. I've also read that you can't overbuild a stand.

FWIW, if you put sides and a back on this stand, that's going to be all the support you'd need against side to side, front to back, and twisting forces. The numerous vertical 2x4s won't hurt, but are unnecessary. What's really not doing anything for the structural integrity of the stand are the horizontal components inside the 8 squares in a square.

But if it makes you happy, better to overbuild than the alternative.

yup, i wont argue with anyone that i added more support than needed, better safe than sorry.

agreed, the panels will limit the twist, but after putting in the bottom and top inside horizontal supports next to the vertical studs the stand was solid so with the side panels it will be that much more.

call it overkill if you like, thats fine, wont argue, i totally agree, but with the amount of time and money put into this i dont need it landing on the floor.
