Well, I'm in a 30 day Escrow..... finally, it's time to build our tank that we have dubbed the Lionfish Lair when we talk about it. We don't name fish, but we seem to name tanks :/

It's going to be viewed from the Den with it's backside into the garage. I'm told the wall is both a load bearing wall AND a firewall.... great. More blood, sweat and money.

I put the call in to my Acrylics guy last night for a 96x30x24 using 3/4" acrylic panels and black back. There won't be any internal overflow sucking up the real estate, but we are going to have an external overflow placed with a horizontal slot like we did with the 100g below.

The residents of the Lionfish Lair will be.... LIONFISH :)

Upon completion it will be home to a "regular" volitans and a black one, a Russells, brasilensis, R. frondosa and a R. eschmeyeri.

What we need to acquire out of that bunch is just the Russells and black volitans. There's a red one out there that occasionally shows up at the wholesalers. If I see one, I will be getting that as well. The rest of the fish I already have.

I'll need all that encouragement went we start cutting into the wall of my new house...

It all started with this little fart bubble. Look at the thermometer to the left. Isn't he cute in his 6g tank.
