    Update

A bit ago, I posted this thread ( http://www.3reef.com/forums/frags/ostrich-egg-frag-disc-70360.html ). DO NOT DO THIS! I had thought eggshell is 100% calcium. It is actually about 99%CA 1%phosphate. The algae has been terrible- hair, micro, halimeda, and anything in between. The frag disk no longer in the tank. I started seriously vodka dosing and the tank is blacked out w/ bath towels (day 3.)

And the only things not to survive the vacation was the Tubs' alien eyeand the gorg had a lot of algal growth. Other than that it went well.:cheesy:

Most of the following are new frags I got from a local reefer who was taking down his tank and most of them are pretty bleached. The Ones I got from Lucid Propogations will have an * *.

    A new Psammacora and acro.

New tyree blue polyp and sunrise. In the middle is a *blueberry sneeze* It's actually colored up since I got it.

(was supposed to look like this-). [IMG]

    [IMG] New brain

[IMG] The trifecta thing in the middle is a garf bonsai, I'm told. The brown *digitata* is the one on the bottom. The two zoa frags on square plugs are *Kedd's Reds* and *Yellow Jackets* from Lucid propogations- Lucid Propagations - Zoanthidea.

And turning the lights out and Vodka dosing worked like a charm. I've not scraped algae in like a week.

I have a question, I just got a bicolor 3 days ago and it wont seem to come out at all. Its been hiding in a rock and none of the other inhabitants even nipped at him when I put it in. Did yours hide too?

I don't remember (it was 4-5 years ago.) They are very cautious fish. A lot of (any) fish will hide for the first couple of weeks or so. BCPCs are really a rock loving fish. Mine comes out quite a bit; but still never actually swims from one side of the tank to the other in plain view or anything like that. He's a pain in the buttocks to catch....

The tank looks awesome 32boom. Do you run a sump? I didn't see your backpack skimmer in the pics.
