Looking at getting a 34gal cube aquarium. Was wondering if the 24" current nova extreme T5HO 2x24w 10k daylight, 2x24w actinic would be enough lighting to keep softies in?

    Thanks

I would think so but I'm sure one of the guru's on here will have a better suggestion as far as what bulbs to use

    Easily...esp. in Nano.

I only have single 24w 50/50 over my 12 gallon NanoCube and softies doing great in it.

Your lighting much more effecient in a smaller tank.

    Go for it!

    PS:

Qualifier on above...good routine maintenance habits needed to keep water totally clear/pristine at all times...

yeah not sure with the exact setup your running but i know maintenance on my nano is bi-weekly cleaning of the foam pads the water passes through before the porceilin rings and carbon and bi-weekly changing of the carbon also i normally just rinse these in the bucket of water i drain off when i do the water change

has worked well for me so far

Thanks for the replies, I think I might wait for this light to come out, Ike's Blog: Sneak Peek...

That will fit the nano perfectly.
