The ATI and BK will be the top performers. Venturi skimmers and other NW's do not have the air input that these two do. I would suggest the BK Supermarine 200...

do you think a 200 will be enough for a 350g sps tank with an high bio-load ? (many fishes)

i know the BK has a nice air input.. but i was thinking about the 60" lifereef skimmer that should have enough air in the water column.. so.. less air for more time.. or less time and more air (the BK).. cost are nearly the same.. but donno if a 200 supermarin is like the "old" BK 400..

start thinking about to use the LifeReef skimmers..

just for a why.. i saw the info of Mazzei Venturi and i understand that the air flow is related to the water pump and the quality of the venturi..

a perfect venturi can mix 1 part of gas (air for us) with 1 part of liquid (water for us)... so a 1000gph water pumps can be able to have up to 1000gph of air it this pump can have the right pressure on the venturi.. higher the pressure better the mix.

this is also why DownDraft skimmer are able to over skimm.. they have usually a bigger pump and then the becket (big venturi..) can mix more air..

using smaller pumps you can reach the right PSI the venturi requires to mix gas<->liquid and so you have lower performance..

speaking to Jeff (LifeReef) i understud some more things.. so now i think i will buy one of his skimmer and then manage to find out the best pump for the venturi he will fit on my skimmer and test if i'm able to get a good performance ;)
