Ok so like the title says I have a 29 gallon tank and in a week or so my lights should be here, hopefully. I was just curious how far from the water should I have the fixture? If you do the math it works out to a little more than 6.5 watts per gallon, I just don't wanna burn anything. Thanks

Put it on its legs that will work just fine. Light doesn't penetrate well from that type of light so make sure you put your light needy corals on the top of the rocks.

Oh so the watt per gallon rule doesn't really work for power compact then huh? Would this light suport an anemone once my tank matures?

Oh I guess I should have mentioned this before, my tank is 30" long and my lights are 36" long. Will the legs still work?

Well I just don't know how well it'll sit on the legs seeing how my tank is 6" shorter than the light
